The Moving Wall

We have brought a half-size replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial from its home in Waukegan, Illinois to the Summer of Love celebration in San Francisco on October 12, with the financial help of the Bill Graham Foundation. It will then move to Justin Herman Plaza in SF from October 13-16, facilitated by Da Mayor's office and the Bill Graham Foundation.

Its visit to San Francisco is really due to the late Bill Graham, who worked with me on many veteran's events over the years. Bill was a drafted Korean War vet, twice awarded the Bronze Star for bravery and twice court-martialled. Of his war experience he said, "I think if I had it to do all over again, I'd probably become a conscientious objector."

See a list of US military casualties in Vietnam during the "Summer of Love."

Learn about the 1997 Antiwar Reunion Rally, October 25-26 at the Pentagon, commemorating the 1967 March on the Pentagon. They'll be making a second try at levitating it.

With the dawn approximately 7 AM we will begin reading the names of 2,687 American military personnel who died in the Viet Nam War beginning...

If you come, bring a flower in your hair.

Leave it by The Wall.
